- LOVES swinging

Do you remember where you were a year ago?!?  For us it is a day we will NEVER forget...

I made my way to the doctor's office after calling him at home (thank god he is a friend of ours!) just to double check I was okay.. No one thought anything was wrong but me.. It felt like my water broke two nights before, but of course I had just peed a little, right?! I had gone all day friday like nothing happened, but by Saturday I still felt like I needed to go in.. so I called.. even George said it was likely nothing but to go ahead and stop by.. I am SOOOO glad we did.. We found out my sac had ruptured and we were sent straight to the hospital.. I was scared, hysterical... We were NOT ready... the bassinet wasn't here yet, the car seat wasn't in the car, I had NO overnight bag packed.. I was only 33 weeks along.. George assured us it would be okay.. We were allowed to stay at MRH eventhough they don't deliver before 35 weeks.. THANK YOU GEORGE!  (Sometimes it pays to know people!)..

the first day is still a blur.. I know I called my mom on the way to the hospital and had to call my boss to tell him I wouldn't be in (and didn't know when I would be?).... I called friends next.. Brian was sent to the house to bring back my computer, clothes, etc.. We had no idea how long I would be there and if I did go into labor soon, we would be shipped to Roanoke, so we needed to be ready!  I was hooked up to so many machines and wasn't allowed out of bed for any reason (excpet to pee)... Don't ever wish for bed rest!!

it was quite a day.. but we did end up with Burke, so what more could we ask for?!?

Disney World Day 4

Day 4 we got up early and headed to Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast.  I was excited to go there, since we had never been AND I was dying to see what the Hotel was like (we'll get a closer look when we go back in the fall and stay there!).. Breakfast was soooooo good!  It was by far the best breakfast we had while we were there (although Brian liked Whispering Canyon the best).  Burke discovered a new breakfast food on the trip he loves.. sausage.. poor thing will never get it at home :) I didn't get any good pictures of breakfast, but I did take some of the resort :)  Animal Kingdom is pretty cool, b/c you can walk outside and see Animals!!

The glass windows leading outside to see the animals..

Kaitlin waiting for the bus..

After we enjoyed a yummy breakfast and explored the resort.  We headed over to Animal Kingdom.  When we got there, we rushed to the back of the park to ride Expedition Everest.  It's a pretty neat roller coaster.  My parents played with Burke while we rode (Michelle, Kaitlin, Brian and I) then we swapped, Brian and I hung with Burke while they rode (baby swap is AWESOME!)... After we rode Expedition Everest, we ran to the safari ride.  We grabbed fast passes and then walked around, shopped and enjoyed taking pictures, while we waited for our turn.  I was a little worried b/c one cast member was telling people they closed the ride but he couldn't say why?  But they opened it shortly after.  I took advantage of the baby care center.  I HIGHLY recommend these if you have a baby.. I read about them before, but I decided since I was dying of a heat stroke, to run in and see what it's all about... GREAT air conditioned room, with baby changing stations, tvs, couches, high chairs, rocking chairs, pumping/nursing rooms.. SO GREAT!  While we shopped, I cam across the new Alice in Wonderland on DVD (2 weeks before the release date!) my sisters were so excited they bought them.  The cast member checking them out said it was a mistake, but they got them anyway.. Kind of cool to get one of the first copies!!

Burke did NOT like the safari!  He was extremely unhappy/scared and I was not in a good mood, since my camera was in the stroller (alone) and not with me. So no safari pictures.

Picture in front of the Tree of Life.. a must!

After the safari, we headed over to lunch.  We ate at Tusker House.  I chose it, b/c it gave us priority seating for the Finding Nemo show.  NO ONE liked the food.  The staff was nice, but the food was not good.  It was a buffet and mediocre.  We will likely not go back.. But we did enjoy the Finding Nemo show.  It was a broadway like show.  Burke did great, he liked the lights and music, then fell asleep :)

After the show, we went ahead and caught the bus to head back to the hotel.  We relaxed and just hung out at the hotel.  Later that evening, Brian and Burke stayed in the room, while the girls went shopping at DTD.  It was nice to spend time with my mom and sisters!

He crawls!

My almost 11 month old can finally crawl.  Don't worry, it's no normal crawl, he drags one leg and scoots around.. it's actually quite funny!  Two days of daycare and the kid is mobile!!

Disney World Day 3

SORRY!! There isn't enough hours in the day!  But I will try to get some more Disney Trip highlights up!!

On our third day, we decided to sleep in!  We made reservations for lunch at a couple of different places.. We were going solo this day to go shopping at Down Town Disney.. I ended up waking up early and getting breakfast with Burke before Brian rolled out of bed.  My sisters decided to try and eat lunch with us at Wolfgang Puck at DTD, so I called to see if we could get in.. but whoever made my reservation (some Disney Cast Member?)  made it for the Monday before, so we couldn't go at all... Brian and I headed over to Hollywood Studios to go to the Sci-Fi Drive In for lunch and my sisters stayed behind to enjoy the pool.  We had to pretty much run to get there in time (we were still late).  The resaurant is themed so well. I love it!!  You sit in little cars and eat in front of a giant movie screen.  Burke ate ALL of the spinach artichoke dip.. I think that was his favorite part!

We then headed over to meet my parents at DTD for a little shopping.  I bought a ton of little gifts.  We had a good afternoon and headed back to the hotel.  We had dinner reservations at Brian's favorite place (O'hanas at the Polynesian) so we had to hurry back.  I think we were back long enough to sit down, before we had to hurry over to the Polynesian for dinner.  We enjoyed some yummy Polynesian food!  It's a family style restaurant.  They have all you can eat steak, pork, turkey, shrimp and sides.  They bring it all to your table, you don't even have to get up!

Brian hates this picture (i think its kind of funny).. but regardless, the food is great!!

This was definitely a day of food :)  We headed over to Magic Kingdom for late night hours after.   Michelle, Kaitlin, Burke, Brian and I enjoyed some rides (Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, etc).  Burke LOVED Dumbo, the wait was a little much, but we had fun..

We then headed back to the hotel for bed.. Another late night!!!
